1815: A great watchmaker - Ferdinand Adolph Lange was born in Dresden
1842: Adolph Lange became a partrner in the Gutkaes horological workshops and was appointed clock maker in the court
1868: Richard Lange combined forces with his father and the company was renamed to A.Lange & SÖhne. (Did you know SÖhne actually means son?)
1891: The First pocket watch with a perpetual calendar to have a platinum oscillating mass was made
1945: Russian bombs destroy the workshops
1990: Walter Lange reinstated the trademark A.Lange & SÖhne, & started rebuilding its brand & legacy
1994: The first modern A.Lange & SÖhne collection was released. The 4 models - Lange 1, Saxonia, Arkade & Tourbillon pour le Mérite
1995: Lange 1 was voted Watch of the Year by Armbanduhren International
1999: To commemorate the founder's birth, the 1815 moonphrase was created to retain accuracy for 10 centuries!
2003: Langematik-perpetual was a great success & impressed many connoisseurs with its technical excellence
