Elgin Hunter style pocket watch in PG filled case

Vintage. No box/papers. This Elgin has a perfect white enamel dial with no hairline cracks or chips. The gold fill on the cuvette & stem area is worn, otherwise there are little hairlines througout the case but no major dents or wear & the filigree on both facades of the case shows a swallow amongst flowers etc.

The hinges on the case are perfect & the cover swings open upon depressing the crown.

There is some wear of the gold fill on the internal of the cover but not a bother.

Collectible early 20th century American made pocket watch. Illinois is a highly respected firm & is one of the superior watch maker in the United States. However, their fortune went down in the Great Depression in the 1920s & the company was purchased by Hamilton in 1927. This is one of the fine example in beautiful original condition. No major dents or scratches.

Collectible Mid 20th century American made pocket watch. This is a beautiful Hamilton Open Face pocket watch with a nice dial. The exceptional beauty lies in the applied gold Arabic numbers in an unusual Fonts. No major dents or scratches & case has some wear on the edges. The movement shines & is of a very high grade typical of Hamilton.
