About This Watch

Vintage. No box or papers. 

An exceptional watch by Audemars Piguet. This pocket was is about a century old and is very thin measuring a mere 7mm including the case and slightly bulbous acrylic crystal, the movement would've been 2mm or thinner. Finished to a very high quality as can be seen and polished with Côtes de Genève. A collector's item.

The solid platinum back cover has initials of HCM inlaid in gold. Winds well and times fine. The case is not stamped AP and most likely has a contract case by a case maker which is common in those years where watchmakers only manufactures the movements and cased by third party contractors much like the automotive industry where coachworks were commissioned by specialists.
