The Breitling Emergency has a built-in micro transimitter broadcasting a signal in the emergency channel of 121.5Mhz. It works independently from the watch so if the watch is damaged, the transmitter will work & continue to send a distress signal upon activation by unscrewing the large cap & pulling the wire antenna out. It is something only to be done in a true emergency where there is no immediate help and this feature has saved many people ever since it's launch.
