About This Watch

Pre-owned. Comes with orig. blue velvet pouch, dated paper & service bills by Chopard.

This is a one owner's watch from new and purchased from the Chopard boutique. It is a very rare Happy Diamonds model with a coveted manual winding movement that received a complete skeletonised work and each bridge is hand-engraved. The main-spring drum is exposed to reveal the spring that coils and releases as the energy expands or contract upon winding.

Skeleton watches are always collector's items with low production numbers due to the extensive amount of expert labour involved and this is a gents model that has a total of 12 floating diamonds worth 0.65 carats spinning under the glass which is quite a joy. Chopard charges more than S$1000 per diamond and there are a dozen on this watch so you can see how good a value this is now. It is also very thin measuring a mere 4.5mm including the glasses for a mechanical watch when most lady's quartz watches are 6mm thick. The petite size means that this will be comfortably worn by ladies and look gorgeous.

In June 2016, this watch was returned to the Chopard service center where it received a complete overhaul and a new glass replaced costing S$1869. The gold case is polished and replated to restore it's splendour. The watch is sold with remaining international warranty by them till 06/2017 so it is ready to wear now and will remain well for the next few years.

A discontinued model that will cost over S$20K when new. Don't miss this if you're a watch afficionado.

Most skeleton watches by prestigious brands are exceedingly expensive. We have a Vacheron Constantin in yellow gold without diamonds and the retail price was S$62000!
