About This Watch

Pre-owned. Comes with orig. box & dated paper. Watch is good as new & probably just worn for a few times which is further evidenced by the good condition of the strap.

It uses a Poljot Calibre 3133 movement which was based on the 1970s vintage era Swiss Valjoux Calibre 7734 movement. The Swiss factory sold  reproduced, modified made in Russia for their first chronograph "Okean" (caliber 3133) that was produced for the space station "Sojuz-23." This robust movement has remained in production and for the last few decades was being supplied to the military & Cosmonaut programs throughout the Cold War period and then in the modern watches that we see today.

This is a modern glamorous example which will be attractive for someone who like antiquity style watches but with the modern reliability. Quite an attractive watch that will certainly attract some conversations for you.

Made to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Victory over Nazi Germany in World war II. A collection of 4 models were made by Dennisov Watch dedicated to the 4 main Allies in the European theatre of the War.

The back cover of the watch features a bas-relief of the statesmen of the anti-Hitler coalition namely Joseph Stalin, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Winston Churchill & Charles De Gaulle. The dials are also engraved with the Coats of Arms and a map of the four States.

Denissov's watch making history started in 1951, when Vladimir A. Denissov, the founder of Denissov watch brand, made a first step towards creation of exclusive wristwatch brand by using all his previous experience gained when working as a chief designer of the First Moscow Watch Factory “Poljot”. Aviator, pilot, chronograph, dive & military watches complete the line.

Today, Denissov wristwatch is a true Russian collection watch for genuine connoisseurs of mechanical watches, remarkable for their original and exclusive design, bright ideas supported by high-quality materials.
