Pre-owned. Comes with orig. wooden box with matching numbered metal plaque (+outer box), manual & undated but duly stamped card. Do take note that the white PVC material of the box is disintegrating but the large wooden box is intact.

One owner's watch in excellent condition and purchased new from an authorised dealer in Singapore. The owner has left us with two dozen watches to sell as he has moved on to Pateks.

This rare IWC watch has never been polished and has tiny little dings (not visible to naked eyes) on the edge of the steel bezel that can be easily polished away to look new but there no major dents nor scratches as can be seen from our images. It has the usual light surface hairlines only & does not need to be polished while the original strap is used and in very good condition as seen here. In fact, from the strap, you can deduce that the watch was worn very little.

This is a 2005 one-time limited edition made in honour of it's founder & the dial bears his signature while more importantly, the movement is specially manufactured paying close resemblence to the original "Jones" calibre from over a century ago. For the first time since the 1993 Jubilee edition, IWC finally launched a large face Portuguese watch with an in-house manufactured movement.

In 1868, American engineer & watchmaker Florentine Ariosto Jones founded the company on the banks of Rhine in Schaffhausen where the factory still stands today. On this movement, you can find the distinctive 3/4 plate & the oversized regulator which is often known as "Jones arrow" found on early IWC pocket watches.

The FA Jones Portuguese watch created quite a stir in the collector's market when it was launched many years ago with some clients paying over S$16000 for this steel watch while we sold some new ones for S$12000 but today, you can buy this for a very sensible price which is a great opportunity & an investment grade timepiece. Only 3000 pcs were ever made with 1000 in 18KPG & 500 in Platinum.
