About This Watch

Pre-owned. Comes with original boxes, papers & medallion. The reference 5500 was created to mark the inauguration of the opening of Patek's new watchmaking center in Geneva. A total of 2000 pieces were made & 1100 are in 18k yellow gold, 500 in rose gold, 250 in white gold and 150 in platinum. Destruction of the tools and dies used in it's manufacture ensures that this model can no longer be produced ever again, ensuring its legendary and collectible place in Patek Philippe history.

This is the rarest & most sought after Platinum piece & seldom appears in the market for sale. Watch is used & has fine surface scratches on the case & buckle that can be polished away upon request while the glass is in perfect condition.
