Vintage. Comes with a Patek shipping box & the factory "Extract from the Archives" certificate stating that this watch was manufactured in 1950 and sold on 7 July 1955.

This mid-century waterproof style Calatrava has completed a full restoration service by the Patek Philippe factory in Geneva where everything was refreshed or rebuilt including the dial that received a restoration, costing a grand total of S$4480 with invoice back in Oct 2017. This watch is good as new now.

A rare opportunity not to be missed. Reference 2508 was launched in 1951 and ceased production around 1960. The case features bold and original proportions with a gold hallmark to the case band @ 4 o'clock. The waterproof case was made by the famous Borgel firm (known as Taubert after a change of ownership) and has an original, matching champignon (mushroom) crown to it. Screw back cases are most sought after by collectors as they are always heavier with a thick case back and very exclusive. This example has the anti-magnetic soft iron cover over the movement as well.

It takes 28+/- turns on the crown to a full wind & large vintage Patek Philippe watches like this is very rare as most were 30-32mm in those years and the sweep center seconds makes it highly coveted as the movement was more expensive to produce, requiring more parts over the regular watches with small seconds.

The movement caliber 27SC was made from 1949 to 1970, with a total production of 12,879 pcs & features a sweep center seconds with the SC meaning Seconds Centrale or central second.

A rare and highly collectible vintage Calatrava with $4.5K (US$3300) value added to it. The 18KYG buckle here bears the French eagle's hallmark.
