Vintage. No box/cert. This is a very well done customisation job from the 1990s when collectors were keeping boy's size watches and vintage Rolexes were the rage. However, some clients wanted a "new" vintage look and this was offered. It was very common in those days to see watches in steel to be plated into gold or have pink gold & steel combination etc. Then, a huge variety of dials were offered and of course some with gems.

This example here is tastefully done with a re-conditioned & vintage styled dial. It looks like a new watch & will appeal to collectors who want something unique and don't cost the moon. The mirrored gold Roman numerals is actually very popular with Franck Muller watches but this was done some twenty years ago!

The owner has actually never worn this watch since the acquisition but always wound it up to work & it has a long 12 links Oyster bracelet dating back to the 1970s with the folded style sections. It will be quite impossible to find another vintage watch like this in this condition now & the customisation can be reversed to 100% original but this is actually more attractive than what it would have been & the value will still be strong.

The case & especially movement is in tip-top condition as seen in the pictures. The Calibre 1210 movement is about 50yrs old but looks mint which is a testament on the quality of the dust & waterproof Oyster case
