Vintage. No box/papers. This Rolex Oyster is quite a gem that has just been discovered. It dates back to 1945 during the last year of WWII. The case is in fabulous condition for it's age with minimal rust or corrosion & has been polished sometime back with no major dents or marks. The dial is an old restoration job to the most desired "California" dial & has some brown spots which adds to it's appeal. If this is an original dial, we will not sell it & it's worth four figures. In fact, original Californian dial Rolex are so rare that it's hard to put a value in them & we have two in our private collection. They were only produced in the mid to late 1940s

 

It retains it's very coveted period matching crown signed "Oyster Patent" with a bulging centre & also the rare lead water resistant seal on the back cover!

 

This is a desirable vintage Rolex Oyster for collection & wear but being a 1940s watch, it does not have a shock resisting balance staff system so don't drop it!
