About This Watch

Collectible early 20th century American made Hunter cased pocket watch. It is nice to find a solid gold cased American made pocket watch (most were gold filled) & this fine example has a "Hunter" cover which means that is was an expensive premium model 100yrs ago. Movement signed. American Waltham Watch Co. with a patented Waltham regulator & highly jewelled. The white enamelled dial is in good condition with some extremely fine hairlines. Original blued steel hands fitted. Case is thick & heavy in pristine condition with all factory decoration clear & sharp (they tend to wear out on the edges due to decades of handling) No dents or major scratches. Movment has just been serviced on 21 Aug 2007.

John C Deuber is a watch case manufacturer & supplies to several American watch companies from 1864. However, an anti-trust law forced him to purchase the Hampden watch company based in Springfield, Massachussets.
