A very attractive vintage ultra-slim watch by Zenith in original & splendid condition with of course a new crystal & strap fitted for better visual. The movement was recently serviced and regulated.

This watch is in such a lovely condition that we had to purchase it for you. The solid 18ct pink gold case has a thin bezel, giving a large dial feel (Modern watches are large but have a small face with thick bezel) while the oversized lugs are flat, curved & unusual, making it very pretty. The 18K gold hallmarks are clearly visible under the lugs. The crown might be a latter replacement but in matching pink gold colour and most early watches wore unsigned crowns in those years so even if changed, it doesn't affect the value much. Upon opening the back cover, we discover a most breath-taking movement! The in-house manufactured cailbre shines as new, as if it has just left the factory yesterday and this is simply amazing for a watch that's over 50 years old. It has double shock-resisting incabloc on the balance wheel and another for the escapement wheel which shows how much care Zenith put into this movement when they designed it.

The original sunray-finished and silvered dial is in near mint condition with applied pink gold star logo and a date window frame.

The only flaw that we can see are some scratch marks on the solid gold back cover. We prefer to leave the watch as it is than over polish it as the original factory brush finish is intact.

Watch runs in surprisingly accurate manner keeping +5 to -5 secs/day in a few positions which is almost chronometer grade!

Please remember that such watches are never water resistant so don't even try to splash water over it. For so little money, one can now own this charming little watch in pink gold with a story to share among your friends. It has witnessed over 50years of human history & cherished over the last half a century. A modern equivalent would cost well over S$10K today.
