1 owner's watch in excellent condition with very little wear and no dents or deep scratches. This Mille Miglia Chronograph Giallo (Yellow in Italian) is a rare limited edition of 500pcs and our watch here is the last piece, bearing number 500 of 500.

The Mille Miglia 1000 is a famous 1000 mlies vintage car rally held annually during the month of May in Italy where Chopard is the official timekeeper and sponsor. The rubber strap for this model was inspired by a 1960s Dunlop tyre thread for cars but our strap here has hardened and cracks when bent so we have replaced it with a quality black calf leather strap and it's an unusual size of 19x16mm.

Originally, an open-road endurance race, the 24 original Mille Miglia races took place in Italy between 1927 and 1957 (thirteen before World War II, eleven after). The race was eventually banned in 1957 after a tragic accident. The event was revived in 1982 as a road rally event which originates and ends in Brescia where it all begun. 1,000 miles is driven around Italy on open roads in a timed event by 375 carefully selected cars.
