Pre-owned. Comes with orig. boxes, manual & dated paper. This IWC Doppel DFB chronograph is a 1 owner's watch & is a special limited edition of just 500 units ever produced. It commemorates the German football team's participation in the Euro 2008 soccer matches & is one of the very few pilot's watch that has a white dial while the triple coloured hands signify the German national colours. The oversized minute counter has provision for extra 15minutes that adds up to the regular 30min to form 45minutes for soccer games.

This model uses the Ref.3713 & was the flagship model among the Pilot collection & due to it's complexity, the retail was double the popular Flieger-Chrono.

Doppel stands for double in German which means a double chronograph which is better known as Split-seconds Chronograph or Rattrapante in French is a very complicated stopwatch that can time multiple subjects on one watch with the addition of an extra pusher using another sweep centre seconds hand. It is especially useful for timing motorsports & sports events where you need to time multiple entries. Very few manufacturers could produce this highly complex movement & they so expensive that it usually costs double the price of a basic chronograph.

Watch is carefully used & has never been polished but there are some very light scratches & tiny little dings on the case. These are negligible and we encourage you to inspect it personally or view the images of the actual watch. The original strap is is fine condition.

Very little discount is given to limited edition IWC watches & this was purchased new from Swiss Watch Gallery in Pavilion, Malaysia.
