About This Watch

Vintage. No box/papers.

This is one of the most complicated watch from Wakmann and it is equipped with the highly respected Valjoux Calibre 730 movement that offers a triple calendar functions on top of the triple registers manual-wind column wheel chronograph. This is the last evolution and an improved movement over the 72C. It offers a higher beat at 21600 so there is better accuracy and has a Glucydur balance plus a Triovis micro-regulator.

The yellow gold filled case has user marks all round but no brassing & free from major dents or scratches. It takes 23 rounds to a full wind. The steel screw-lock back cover has multiple hairlines and these are light surface wear sustained over the decades and free from major dents or any deep scratches.

The watch is triple signed on the dial, movement and case back. The dial is in mint condition while the movement shines as new, overall a very attractive vintage chronograph complications.

Wakmann was established in New York, USA & listed in the US stock exchange. It was the official importer of Breitling watches & subsequently purchased by Breitling to export their watches over to US after WWII as there was a trade embargo for import of Swiss watches into USA.

A collectible complications and very affordable watch even by modern standards. This will be a conversation piece among watch lovers and it shares the similar movement fitted to the great Rolex Jean Claude Killy which is worth hundreds of thousands more.

*6% GST is included in the advertised price for sales in Malaysia only & discount will be given for cash payment.
