Unused watch. Complete with orig. boxes, manual, COSC cert, medallion, booklet & dated paper in pouch. This watch was sold new by the Patek Philippe boutique located in the prestigious Place Vendôme in Paris. It has everything complete, a fine example of a time capsule. Thus, making this a very desirable collector's item and an investment grade timepiece.

To celebrate the arrival of the new millennium in the year 2000, Patek Philippe created a limited edition series of 3,000 watches under the Ref.5100. Of these 3,000 watches, only 1,500 were made in 18K yellow gold with white dial, 300 in platinum with black dial, 450 in 18K white gold with blue dial and 750 in 18K rose gold with a grey dial.

A new chronometer grade movement with a 10-days power reserve was manufactured which represented a first in the history of watchmaking. This manually wound rectangular calibre 28-20/220 features a power reserve indicator and a subsidiary seconds then given a unique individual rating certificate issued jointly by the C.O.S.C. —Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres–, Switzerland's official chronometer certifications bureau and the Geneva Seal Institute. Both certificates are presented in the packaging.

This gorgeous watch has a rectangular case which is flared on the sides & is inspired by the shape of a Manta-ray. Like the earlier limited editions, a silver commemorative coin is given with every watch and it features the iconic sculpture located at the Patek Philippe manufacture in Geneva inaugurated in 1997. An acrylic block act as a display stand so that this coin has a chance to grace your cabinet.
