About This Watch

 Vintage. No box/papers. This is a gem. It is a New Old Stock that's kept away by a collector in a safe for the past 4 decades! It is in time warp condition, never been worn & even the original gasket is intact on the back cover. The movement shines & works well even now. This is the kind of watch that warmed collectors' hearts back in the early 1990s when Boy's size watches were all the rage. It has a very desirable dial with red colored stones & a strange minutes on the dial in blue & red (which has now faded to brown). This watch is now good for ladies or any small wrist due to it's 28mm diameter. It is very rare to find such watches in solid gold even in the 1990s as a lot of gold watches were stripped & had their cases sold in the 1980s. Today, to find one is as good as a museum piece!

We acquired this from the collector about 3 yrs ago who has since passed away last year.

This is an important watch in vintage watch collection as it represents the extravagant style during the 1950s in the Far Eastern market. We may find a solid gold Rolex from that era easily but to find something like this & in this condition is virtually impossible now.

Case has some fine handling hairlines & never been polished while there's a faint scratch from a notch on the back cover caused by a watch opening tool but not a deep cut. The dial is in perfect order as you can see & the movement shines as good as new.
