About This Watch

Pre-owned. Comes with original black lacquered heavy wooden box lined with genuine leather & outer box. Manual and undated but stamped paper.

Single owner's watch from new. Seldom worn and last serviced by agent about 5yrs ago. According to the owner, the case was not polished and shows the usual micro hairlines from handling and can certainly be polished upon request to restore it's lustre. The solid gold case retains all the sharpness and angular edges. Glass is perfect and really nothing much to fault. Watch keeps time very well.

The UR103.9 is the defining model of Urwerk and many articles have covered it. This model is also the first to have this red gold version offered by the firm. An avant garde design with bold lines and rotating satellite discs to show time, makes this watch an immediate icon. The development took 3yrs with another further 2yrs of testing. Produced in limited numbers between 2003 to 2010 and our watch here bears a very nice serial number.

There are 5pcs for sale on Chrono24 now but all have strangely lost their important paper work which certainly affects their value yet some of their prices are far above ours. Our watch here comes complete with everything from The Hour Glass and has proper provenance. Certainly a timepiece not to be missed for those seeking a collector's item from an independent watch maker.

A white gold piece was last sold by Phillips in Nov 2021 sale for over S$72000.00 and value has crept up over the years.
