Pre-owned. No boxes, the IWC PVC boxes never last more than a few years and are often discarded but this watch has it's orig. warranty card.

This is a rare IWC watch made in the earlier 1990s so it is easily thirty years old now. A classic in solid yellow gold case with double front and rear glass which proudly exhibits it's beautiful movement. This Ref.2533 Portofino Manual is an earlier model which is fitted with an in-house IWC manual winding movement, finished with Côtes de Genève and plated in yellow gold.

The solid gold case has been carefully polished to perfection, retaining the gold hallmarks and movement will be serviced after Chinese New Year as our workshop has closed for a long holiday.

The lacquered dial shows a few micro fracture lines near the center post under the hands (only visible under a 10X loupe) which is common for such dials due to age and is part of the character. This is similar to crackled glaze on porcelain wares. The original gold capped over brass crown with the fish logo has it's center part worn off due to usage over the decades and doesn't affect the function and is only aesthetics but a negligible tiny spot.

This is a very pleasing gentleman's gold wristwatch similar to Patek's Calatrava and comes in a decent case size which offers tremendous value & joy for the new owner.
