This is a Swiss made open face pocket watch for the English market as it has a solid 9 carat pink gold case made by A.L. Dennison case maker with Birmingham assay office's hallmarks dating it back to 1924/5. It is a common practice for many foreign watch manufacturers to appoint local case makers to house their movements up to 3/4 of the 20th Century so as to avoid hefty tariffs when watches were imported as a whole. Many brands partnered with local case makers to assemble their completed movements in order to market it as whole while this also sustains the local workforce. Otherwise, this could simply be an English brand that used Swiss movements. Very little can be found on this brand except a mention of the "English Stayte Lever" & Adolph Scott Ltd, a Birmingham Jeweller (Clocks & Watches) which was active from 1928 to late 1940s so this watch could be one of their product.

This particular watch does not have much of a brand but the general condition is mint. The case is free from any dents or major scratches with the white enamel dial is perfect and the movement shines as new. The heated blued steel hands shines in a very beautiful hue. The gold tube to the crown has the maker's stamp as well as the gold hallmarks & crown is believe to be original as it is matching. The bow (Ring) has a slight distortion probably due to being pulled by the chain or strap it once had which can be a common occurrence. It takes about 20 winds on the crown to a full wind & six months warranty is given to this.

A quality watch in splendid condition as it has survived WW2 which wrecked many homes for most part of the world and of course during it's life, it saw the Great Depression plus many other world events.
